Krusade
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Krusade (“Krusade”, “we”, “us”) runs this website to collect early-access signups ahead of our launch. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we handle it, and the rights you have under Canadian privacy law — including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What We Collect
We collect only what we need to run the list and tell you when we launch:
- Email address — required when you join the list. Used to send launch updates, early-access invitations, and founding-member perks.
- Phone number — optional, collected only if you check “Text me launch updates too.” Used solely to send SMS launch updates.
- Country — required when you join the list. Used to understand where interest is coming from and plan our launch by region. It stays in our own records and is not shared with the providers below.
- Analytics data — we use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode v2. If you accept, we collect usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate geographic region) using cookies. If you decline, we set no cookies and no persistent identifiers, but Google Analytics still sends anonymized, cookieless signals (such as timestamp, browser type, referring page, and page URL) used only for aggregate, non-identifying statistics. In neither case is this tied to your identity.
- Server logs — like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address and browser type in server logs for security and reliability. A hidden honeypot field also helps us drop automated spam submissions. We do not use this information to identify you.
Consent — PIPEDA & CASL
We collect, use, and disclose your personal information only with your consent. By submitting the form you give express consent to receive commercial electronic messages (email, and SMS if you opted in) about Krusade’s launch, as required by CASL. Every message identifies Krusade as the sender and includes a way to unsubscribe.
You can withdraw consent at any time:
- Email — use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
- SMS — reply STOP to any text (reply HELP for help).
- Or email admin@madebyme.co to be removed entirely.
Withdrawing consent stops future marketing messages; it does not affect processing that already took place.
Why We Collect It
- Launch updates — to tell you when Krusade launches and to send the early-access offers and founding-member perks you signed up for.
- Launch planning — to see where interest is coming from and plan our launch by region, based on the country you select.
- Abuse prevention — to protect the signup form from automated misuse.
- Site improvement — to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can make it better.
Third Parties
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate, and only the data they need to do their job:
- Resend — email delivery and list management (receives your email address).
- An SMS provider — to send texts (receives your phone number), only if you opted in. A provider is finalized at launch.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — site analytics, under Google’s data-processing terms and Consent Mode v2.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Some providers may process data outside Canada (for example, in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Cookies
This site uses Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics cookies are set only if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you decline, no tracking cookies or persistent identifiers (such as a client ID) are stored on your device.
Even when you decline, Google Analytics still sends anonymized, cookieless pings — these contain no cookies, no client ID, and no personally identifying information. Google may use this data, together with patterns from visitors who accept, to estimate aggregate, non-identifying statistics. Cookieless data is sent to Google LLC under its data-processing terms.
Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed or cleared at any time; clearing it shows the banner again, and withdrawing consent downgrades analytics storage to denied for the rest of your session.
Data Retention
- Email, phone & country — kept until you ask us to delete them, after which we remove them within a reasonable period. Unsubscribing (an email unsubscribe link, or replying STOP to a text) stops messages but does not by itself erase your stored record — email us to have it deleted.
- Server logs — retained by our hosting provider under their standard practices, and not used to identify you.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Withdraw your consent and request deletion of your information.
- Decline analytics cookies via the cookie banner.
To exercise any of these, email us at admin@madebyme.co. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information and limit access to it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
Children
This site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
